Haha! Hello everybody. How's everybody doing? Anyway just giving some news to the very few people still interrested.
Well my health is taking a drop again but this time I know why so I should manage it better. Well, part of it. I'm still suffering from insomnia tho but there's really not much I can do about it. On a more happy note... Otakuthon this weekend! One friend of mine, plus two of her friends are coming to my place for the event. For those who wonder what the hell is Otakuthon... well it's a manga/anime/japanese video games convention... the biggest in Montreal. It's this weekend, beginning on friday july 31 at 18:00! I'll bring Georgette my second girlfriend with me (my digital camera) and I should take a lot of pictures. Of course I'll post them on DA and also on my facebook account. Some of you will wonder why I'm going there? Well you're right, I'm not much into japanese stuff... as long as the drawings are not ugly and the story is good and intense, I'll read it. I don't give a damn where it comes from, they're not better because they're mangas or american comic books. I judge everyone of them individually. To be honest tho, I'm more difficult and severe when judging mangas, there's so many shitty ones over-flooding the markets that I'm always so so to the idea of reading a manga a friend recommanded me. But of course, the same thing goes on for Super Heroes of american comic books, there is so much horrible ones in stores!
Writing about this makes me a little nostalgic. I remember all those comics I used to read when I was a kid. Well I still read most of them when I get the chance and the money, so I guess I'm still a kid! Haha. Anyway, so I'll list all the comics I love and I would really like to know which one you are/were reading! I'm curious!
From Belgium:
Tintin, Spirou, Lucky Luke, Marsupilami
From Canada:
Vandoo (sadly just one),
From France:
Iznogoud, Astérix et Obélix
From Japan:
Berserk, Goldorak (Oh yes I still have the first four numbers in french at my parents place), Albator, Chrono Crusade, Dragon Ball (not Z and the crappy following),
From the UK:
V for Vendetta, Watchmen, Hellblazer (Yes I do love Alan Moore's work!)
From USA:
Spawn (My favorite SO FAR, MacFarlane is a god! Haha.), X-Men, Spiderman, Ironman, Hell Rider, Silver Surfer, Batman (I don't like all of them), Death Pool (thanks to my girlfriend
And so many other I did not read yet but will do so in the future as well as many others I forgot because either they didn't had that much of an effect on me or just because of my crappy memory!
Here's 5 talented artist that I watch and that I find they have alot of talents. May they get published on day if they didn't already!
Anyway, have a good week and see you in Otakuthon for those who will be there!
